Modernist Sitges

35 km south of Barcelona, Sitges is the perfect place to spend a day at the beach.

Nature bike ride round the top of Barcelona

From Can Caralleu to the Pla dels Maduixers, this section of the trail is popular with sportsmen and women as an exceptionally beautiful place to train.

Gaudí and Dalí

For those who would like to know more about these two Catalan and very Mediterranean artists.

La Pedrera (the Quarry): The architect Antoni Gaudí was commissioned by the Milà family to build this residential building declared World Heritage by UNESCO.

Finished in 1911, it was regarded almost as a piece of sculpture and has become one of his most famous buildings.
