Montjuïc Castle Stop: the visit starts by going up to the castle on top of Montjuïc, 170 m high, to enjoy the magnificent views over the city and the port.
Montjuïc Hill Urbanized in 1929 for the International Exhibition, Montjuïc is both a cultural attraction (Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), Fundació Miró, the German Pavilion (Miess Van der Rohe) and a sportive one (the Olympic Ring).
Stadium Stop: Nerve centre of the 1992 Olympic Games, it is the home ground of one of the two football clubs of the city: Español.
Mirador de l’Alcalde (Mayor’s Lookout): Balcony over the Mediterranean where you’ll find a monument dedicated to the typical Catalan dance, the Sardana.
Spanish Village guided tour: Complex that reproduces the towns and cultures of Spain with replicas of streets, squares, monuments and buildings from around the country. Built in 1929 for the International Exhibition it is currently a centre of arts and crafts. Free time will be available to explore.
Columbus Monument: Between La Rambla and the sea beside the medieval Drassanes, which house the Maritime Museum, the Columbus column was built to commemorate Columbus’ return from America which was to the city of Barcelona where he was met by the Catholic Kings.
Les Golondrines Ferry Boats: We’ll take +/- 1hr trip in an open ferry to have a view of Barcelona from the sea.
The Port: We will show you the seafront of the Old Port which has been converted into a popular city port near the city centre. There are many attractions such as the Aquarium, Imax cinema, restaurants, and sailing clubs.

Ciutadella Park: When the old military barracks was knocked down, the land became the site for the 1888 World Exhibition and later a park. It has three main avenues, called the Elms, the Planes, and the Lindens, a boating lake, a waterfall monument and exceptional buildings like The Three Dragon Castle, the Zoological Museum and the Green House etc. This park still preserves all the attraction an upper class garden had in Barcelona at the turn of the century. We will finish at the gate of the Zoo Stop: Opened on the day of Mercé, the patron saint of the city, in 1892, the zoo occupied the space left by the 1882 Universal Exposition in Ciutadella Park.
The concept of a Zoo has evolved over time, gradually more importance being given to the living conditions of the animals which is now the main concern. The zoo houses over 7,000 animals of 400 different species from all around the world.
