Barcelona beaches: Which beach are you going to?

“Cerveza o masaje?” Barceloneta is one of the most popular beaches in Barcelona and in summer it can be quite crowded. However, it´s very close to the metro and to the city centre which makes it easy and quick to go to for a swim. You will find the beach at a 10 minute walk from the Barceloneta metro station.

More to the north is the Mar Bella beach, close to the metro station Poblenou. Once at the beach, just relax and enjoy the “chiringuito“, the typical Spanish beach summer bar.

If you prefer to disconnect completely with the city, the Barcelona surroundings offers an efficient transport network. The beach in Garraf is like one of those postcard beaches on the Catalan coast. Close to Garraf is Sitges with its precious beach walk and cute winding streets.
