This month and until December 6th, you will have the unique opportunity to listen to jazz music in every corner of Barcelona. More than 70 concerts will be given at fifteen different venues such as the Auditori, Luz de Gas, Jamboree, Palau de la Musica and Harlem Jazz Club.
One of the highlights of the event is the tribute that will be paid to Miles Davis’ album “Kind of Blue”. The saxophonist Wayne Shorter, a member of Miles Davis’ famous mid-1960s quintet will open the festival next October, 28th at the Auditori. Jimmy Cobb, who took part in the creation of the “Kind of Blue” masterpiece, will perform at the Palau on November, 7th and another famous jazz man, Marcus Miller, who composed the famous Tutu with Miles, will play on November, 11th at the Palau de la Música.
