The day the tram hit Antoni Gaudi on the corner of Gran Via and Bailén street, was the 7th of June 1926. Gaudi’s appearence was like that of a homeless person so no one recognized him. His clothes were kept together with saftey pins since he was leading a very humble life. (more…)
Did you know that Park Güell is the unfinished project of a garden suburb by Antoni Gaudí financed by Eusebi Güell?. The park brings together all the characteristic features of modernism and the architect’s own particular vision (sinuous and organic shapes, integration with nature, broken tile mosaics). Montserrat is a mountain, a unique Natural Park, a massive rock over 4000 feet high, visible for miles, with weird shapes and rounded peaks that jut into the sky; there are walks, paths, stairs, with caves and hermitages scattered over the mountain, and mysterious rocks and wonderful views. (more…)
