Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – February 2011

14 - 17 February 2011 Barcelona will host the 6th edition of the MWC (Mobile World Congress), one of the most important events on mobile technology. This year’s new products include the new Playstation Phone and the latest smartphone from Nokia, the N9.

The organizers expect from 52,000 to 55,000 visitors (a significant increase on the 49,000 of 2010!) All attendants will be able to wander around the stands of more than 1,300 companies including the leaders in mobile phones like Nokia, Vodafone, Sony Ericsson and many more.

This year, 250 experts will give leading sessions on all topics related with the future of the mobile industry. Visitors will also have access to the “App Planet“ with news about all kinds of applications for smartphones.

During this edition two important product presentations will take place: the Nokia N9 with the innovative MeeGo operating system created thanks to the cooperation between Nokia and Intel, and the mysterious Playstation Phone from Sony Ericsson.
