Museum Night in Barcelona

Next Saturday May 14, from 7.00 pm until 1 am, more than 37 museums and exhibition centres in Barcelona will open their doors to visitors.

The event takes places in 40 European countries at the same time and permits everybody to visit some of the best museums as well as to join activities specially organized for the occasion.

This year the Museum Night will coincide with the “Barcelona Poesia 2011”, XXVII International Festival of Poetry in Barcelona. In many museums you will hear actors whispering poems in your ear while you are discovering some extraordinary piece of art.

A “walking exhibition” will also take place on Saturday, when the group Walking Gallery will parade along some of the most famous streets of the city holding different works of art signed by famous artists.
