Sitges Film Festival 2009

Sitges Film Festival is the perfect venue for fans of Fantasy and Horror movies. From the 1st to 12th of October, Sitges and Catalonia host this International Fantasy Film Festival.
It started in 1968 and is now the number one fantasy film festival in the world. Rec2 opened the Official Fantasy Section of the Festival. Other movies such as Thirst, Yatterman, Crows II and Moon (recent winner of ‘Best feature film’ at the Festival International Film Festival) are also included in this section. Sitges 09 also gives you a comeback of the 80´s. You will be able to see a selection of the best movies from this decade such as The Shining, Nightmare on Elm St and Alien.
Another outstanding novelty in this edition of the festival is the Els Altres Fantastics Retrospective, which will review Catalan and Spanish productions like A House Without Boundaries by the director Pedro Oleala and A dog called…Vengeance by Antonio Isasi Isasmendi.
