Sunny weekend for skaters and extreme sports lovers in Barcelona

Parc del Fórum was full of skaters rolling around the 35.000 visitors that saw the shows during the two days. One of the most impressive festivals in the city, Barcelona Sport Extreme, has become a reference for all street sports, gathering the best professionals from all over the world.

The awards were presented by the Mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, who gave the precious statue ‘Aerial’, designed by Josep Plandiura, to the winners of the specialities skateboard, inline, BMX, FMX and wakeboard. For the first time three Spaniards were included among the winners: Edgar Torrenteras (FMX), Daniel Peñafiel (BMX) y Juan Rubio (Longboard). They competed against the number one sportsmen of the different modalities, coming from France, Great Britain, The United States and even Australia.
