Once again the neighborhood of Gracia brings Barcelona one of the most popular district festivals of the city. It has been celebrated since the middle to end of the 19th century, with the initial excuse of being close to the Sant Roc religious holiday in August, but the Gracia festival developed as a laic celebration, supported by social clubs and labour groups like dance clubs and the Ateneo. Summer is coming to Barcelona again and with it the Grec Festival. The city’s most prestigious arts festival has a rich variety of musicians, actors, theatre and dance groups and will attract people from all over the world.
Today the biggest festival of the year starts in Barcelona. From today until Sunday you can enjoy concerts, events and parties all over Barcelona.
The Mas I Mas Festival opened since the 30th of July, is bringing classical music in an historical building.
Next Tuesday, 28th of April, there will be one of the events of the year in Barcelona: the semi-finals of the Champions League. The FC Barcelona and the Chelsea FC will play the first leg in the Camp Nou, and the other semi-final, with the two English teams, the Manchester United against the Arsenal, will be the next day in the Old Trafford.
