The Jóan Miro Foundation is a major reference point in international art and a must-see in Barcelona. The museum is a part of The Montjuic and Panoramic Tour of Barcelona Guide Bureau. Take a break this week end and discover the “Miró-Dupin Art and Poetry” exhibition. The Foundation hosts the exhibition until Sunday. It is divided into three parts. The first one examines the artist’s lifelong interest in poetry. Thus, we learn that in Paris, he met the members of the Surrealist movement and that he was in contact with writers such as Rimbaud, Apollinaire and Jarry. In 1957, Miro met Dupin and they started to work together. Their close professional relationship is the subject of the second part of the exhibition. More than a painter, Miró is also considered a poet. In the third section you can see manuscripts, books of poetry and illustrated books by Jacques Dupin.
