The Montsant wine appellation was created in 2002 and is made up of villages and wineries which up until then had belonged to the Falset Subzone of the Tarragona wine appellation.

The DO Montsant has since then enjoyed a period of spectacular growth. If at the time of its creation, the appellation had 28 wineries, today it has more than fifty. Nearly 70% of our bottled production is exported (mainly to Germany and the United States). Total land under vine is 1.826 hectares and grape production is around 10 million tonnes.
