The last edition of the magazine, ‘Sibaritas‘ has selected a wine from the DO Montsant as a “Wine to go down in History”. They are talking about ‘L’espectacle 2005′ from Laurona winery, topping the list of wines made by the prestigious vintner, René Barbier. This recognition comes in the form of one of Sibaritas 2009 awards, which are annually allocated by the magazine. The jury is made up of experts in the wine world and counts amongst them, the wine critic, José Peñín.
Made by Laurona Winery, this wine has quickly become one of the great references of the DO Montsant thanks to its exceptional quality. Robert Parker awarded it 99 points and voted it one of the best Spanish wines made. Grapes used come from the hill-top village of La Figuera.
