Pascual Maragall, the former president of the Catalan Autonomous Government, visited the DO Montant last Tuesday, after having expressed an interest in getting to know the appellation because of its “dynamism and great leap forward it had taken recently.” The ex-president visited different types of winery within the DO, which range from co-operative wineries to small garage wineries. On this occasion, the wineries visited were Joan d’Anguera (Darmós) and the co-operatives of Capçanes and El Masroig.
