Settino is giving a fair assessment on how Montsants are comparable to Priorats these days. The world is discovering how delicious and complex these wines can be and how well priced they are. I have had a number of Montsants from Settino’s store and they are outstanding values. I am always amazed at the value you can find for under $25 per bottle.
I agree with this person..Montsants are really an adventure, with varying degrees of complexity and quality. They can be some of the finest wines you’ll come across, and at relatively good prices..although a bit high end they are great values nonetheless with their complexity and quality. If you are not into Montsants you should give them a try..don’t just buy one off the shelf, ask your wine retailer for a recommendation - they will or should point you in the right direction.
