A group of journalists and communicators of the culture of wine in the United States visited the wine appellations of the Tarragona province last July and they showed a special interest in the emerging DO Montsant.

Thanks to their trip which was organised by the Reus Chamber of Commerce several articles have been published about the DO Montsant in prestigious magazines and digital formats in the United States such as the ‘Decanter’ and ‘Sommeliers’. magazines. The articles describe the Montsant appellation to be a “new value” for wines of Spain.

“I have travelled this country for 30 years (Spain) and I have that found that there are only two zones which can be classed as paradises for terroir and these are to be found in the North of Spain: with Atlantic influences the Ribeira Sacra and Bierzo and the Mediterranean Catalonia in Priorat and Montsant. Forget for a while Rioja and Ribera. These are the only places to find true interest and personality.”
